Applying does not guarantee acceptance. This sponsorship program depends entirely on funding received from external sponsors, donors, and, where available, SkillTech Academy's own resources. We can only sponsor as many learners as our current intake capacity allows.
Every application is reviewed fairly and transparently. If you are not selected in this round, you will be notified and encouraged to reapply in future rounds when more sponsorship slots become available.
Two Sponsorship Paths
Both paths offer the same complete sponsorship experience — the difference is who funds your journey. All sponsored learners receive identical benefits.
Sponsored Learner
Funded by external sponsors, donors, and well-wishers who believe in your potential.

Academy Scholar
Funded directly by SkillTech Academy from our own resources to reach the 10,000 youth target.
- Funded entirely by SkillTech Academy's internal budget
- Reserved for exceptional applicants showing outstanding commitment
- Limited slots released as Academy revenue allows — priority to top applicants
- Full sponsorship experience — same benefits as Sponsored Learners
- Priority consideration for Academy-funded paid tasks and roles

Your Ambassador Commitment
Being a sponsored learner means you're not just a student — you're a SkillTech Ambassador. Your journey is about growing with us and helping other Kenyan youth discover the same opportunity.
What We Ask in Return
This is not employment, and we are not asking for free labor. We are asking you to help grow the movement that made your sponsorship possible — so more Kenyan youth can access the same opportunity. Total commitment: 1–2 hours per week.

To be considered for sponsorship, you must meet the following criteria. These standards ensure sponsorship reaches learners who will complete the program and add value to our growing community.
How We Verify Applications
Every application goes through a fair and transparent process to ensure sponsorship reaches learners who are committed to completing their journey.
Application Review
We review your form, motivation statement, chosen field of study, and your Ambassador Commitment understanding.
Document Verification
We verify identity, location, and financial need through submitted documents to ensure sponsorship goes to genuine applicants.
Short Interview
Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for a brief interview to understand their goals, commitment, and readiness.
Final Selection & Enrollment
Successful applicants are notified and enrolled. Sponsors are matched with learners based on the field of study and impact alignment.
Progress Tracking & Reporting
We track your progress throughout the program and share monthly updates with your sponsor — protecting their trust and rewarding your commitment.
